Blue Steel

So it's officially been a full year since I started this glamorous job I'm in, which meeaaanss.....NEW BOOTS! Exciting right? Did I mention I wear steel toed boots to work every day? Mandatory? No cute outfits? Ever?!
Every year the company I work for allows you to purchase new steel toed boots and they will reimburse you up to like 80 or 90 dollars, but you can only buy them once year. This is something I've been looking forward to for SO long and now it's finally here and time to get some new shoes!

The ones I have now are by Converse and they're actually composite toe, which means they're a lot lighter and less hot than steel toed. But the bad thing is that the padding around the heel has worn down so much that it rubs on my feet all day and I come home with calluses. EWWW. So, I'm totally looking forward to a fresh new pair.

I want to stick with composite toe again because I like how lightweight they are and they don't heat up in the summer or stay cold in the winter like the steel toed ones.

I need your help! Out of the following shoes, which ones do you like best? They're all pretty similar, but with subtle differences.

These are the ones I have right now....

And these are the ones I'm considering purchasing...

So obviously I want a brown shoe because I wear a brown belt usually and I don't know...I feel like the leather look semi-dresses up my attire. Basically this is as good as it's gonna get with regards to footwear for my job. (Please Dear God, send an amazing job down to me soon) What do y'all think?

I feel like I'm leaning more to the Avenger brand, but the other two are nice as well. So little many choices!

Happy Thursday everyone! xo

A Little Caesar

Shirt & Hat: Boutique in AZ, Shorts: American Eagle, Sandals: Ross

So first of all I heard today on Perez Hilton, or read rather, that Lauren Conrad and her bf Kyle Howard have broken up! This makes me so sad, but I want her to know she is welcome to come back to reality t.v. whenever she wants and we (I) will love her more than he ever could! I miss Laguna Beach!

Anyways, we  had an amazing 4 days in Vegas this past weekend! We stayed at Caesars Palace and went Saturday-Tuesday, which I know sounds like a lot (& expensive), but this was two days of fun paired with two days of business.

We were really in town to attend a trade show for boyfriends company, but went up two days early to have a little fun which included loads of shopping. I'll be doing a haul video on my YouTube channel soon to let y'all see the things I picked up at the 3 story H&M and the 2 story Forever21! I saved my $$ for a couple weeks so I could splurge on new goodies while in Vegas.

I took outfit pictures almost everyday and I thought I'd share my attire with y'all. Then it's time to watch The Bachelorette and Pretty Little Liars that we missed while in Vegas! Exciting!!!

Knobby knees! haha This was my car ride, arrival to Vegas, Day 1 of shopping outfit.

Dress: Lulu's, Shoes: TJ Maxx. My "Lady Gaga" dress I wore to see KA at the MGM Grand

Shirt: H&M, Shorts: American Eagle, Shoes: Target. My walking around, shopping Day 2 outfit.

Blurry bird

Don't mind the boyfriend behind me. He jumped in the photo behind me and started dancing on me. Dork. This maxi dress is from Forever 21 and I wore it with my Nine West wedges to see Mystere' at Treasure Island.

Top: H&M, Jeans: Boutique here in AZ, Shoes: Ross. My trade show day 1 outfit.

Loooove this new sweater shirt from H&M it's the prettiest shade of nude and makes me look tanner!

And I totally forgot to take outfit photo on the last day, but it wasn't much different from the last look above. Hope you enjoyed my outfits!
ALSO - Shout out to my first 13 followers! I'm soooooo happy y'all are here and I look forward to sharing the most random things with you! xo

20 Questions Tag!

Wanna see what a nerd I really am? Here's my most recent YouTube video. Enjoy!

Orange Sherbert

Orange Sherbert

Is it weird that I just ate like 10 green olives out of a coffee cup with a fork? Not sure what my logic was behind all this, but it was sooooo good. Totally satisfied by salt craving. I'm sure y'all wanted to know this.

Today is my Friday and I couldn't be more happy about that. The job was SUPER slow this week (not uncommon). We're headed out to Vegas on Saturday and I am really really stoked to shop at H&M. Can. Not. Wait. I've been saving my pennies for this weekend and I'm totally going to buy a new wardrobe for my closet and donate all my high school clothes to somewhere.

I'm obsessing over trying to find this bright orange sheer chiffon button down top I saw in a magazine yesterday. Problem is I can't find it anywhere!! I'm so bummed. It was a nicole by Nicole Miller top from jcp.com, but the magazine was a couple months old and when I went to the jcp website I didn't find it there. So sad! I even just straight Googled it, hoping it would pop up on some other website, but no dice.

So what's a girl to do? Lust over bright orange, melon stripes, and heather gray via Polyvore that's what! Cool thing is, all of the things you see about in my little fashion cluster are under $50! And half of them are on sale right now. Amen to that.

The Liars Are Back

Have y'all been watching the second season of Pretty Little Liars? Well if you haven't seen the episode from last night quit reading this post, spoilers are about to be written!

So, ABC Family did it again and faked me out! I completely fell for the plot line that Aria and Ezra (my fave couple on the show who I refuse to acknowledge that are a fictional couple) were going to break up! The premier episode had me thinking the worst and so did the beginning of episode 2, but thank goodness in the end they had a big smooching session and I think all is well now.

My fingers are crossed they stay together! BUT I thought it was a little weird that she ran out of the school and jumped on him and made out with him right in the school parking lot and there were school buses in the background. Like, didn't anyone see them? They were in the SCHOOL parking lot! Weird.

But maybe now since he won't be teaching at the school anymore it will be okay that he's dating a 16 year old? No? I don't know. But I love them. Together. Forever.

And yes I'm a total freak about this show and just love it so much. The fashion, the drama, the romance, the set design...it totally pulls my in on all levels of amazing-ness.

Side Note

How come when I eat Craisins I inevitably find like 3 of them on the floor the next day? I swear they make it to my mouth when I'm eating them and then BAM! there's some on the floor. How the heck did I miss that?! It's a Craisin conspiracy I say.

Anyways that is completely unrelated to what I'm blogging about this afternoon, but I'm eating Craisins whilst blogging and it got me thinking.

Two things I love today are my nail polish and the header on Google. Such a bright and cheery way to welcome you  to Google's homepage, no? And this nail polish has me lusting for all things bronze.

And is there such thing as a "mid-twenty life crisis"? If so I might be in one. I went to Barnes & Noble yesterday and dropped $55 on self help career advice, secrets of the successful, and how to work 4 hours a week books. Crisis much? I think so. Oy.

Monday

Quite possibly the most uneventful, non-efficient, boring Monday at work yet. I ran out of blogs to read and YouTube videos to watch by 9 a.m. Needless to say, it was a looooooong day.

This picture makes me happy. Take that Monday. xo

Things I Googled This Week

Shirt: American Eagle, Skirt: Forever 21, Shoes: Target, Watch: Target, Bracelet: QVC

"Are you supposed to use all of the packets in Crest 2 hr. Whitening?" - They give you 4 packets but no directions say if you're supposed to use them all in a row or every 3 months.

"Casey Anthony Trial" - This trial is so sad to me and I'm interested to see if they find her guilty.

"Haute Look" - Saw an ad for this and the purse in the ad was BEAUTIFUL so I Googled it. ha. Too expensive for meeeee!

"Is iMovie only for Mac?" - I need a good new movie editing software!

"Free video editing software" - The next day I googled this and came up empty :(

"Zara" - Online shop? Yes please!

"King of wishful thinking song" - Ever heard it? It's so fun! Old 90's song

"Inas 1969 film" - Someone had posted this on Facebook and I wanted to know what it was

"Gold Michael Kors watch" - I want one! One day...

Wore this out to lunch with the boyfriend today. Looove this puffy skirt, it's actually very shimmery in the sunlight. The shirt is a favorite tee I picked up from American Eagle, super soft and hot green. Love it! Happy Friday! xo

Hurry Up And Wait

I hate waiting. Hate it. I hate knowing that I want SO bad for something and knowing that I have to wait for it. It's like being a little kid who can't reach the candy bar on the counter in the kitchen. You know it's there. You see it. You dream about it. You know one day you'll be able to reach it and when you do reach it, it will be so good. But for now you have to wait. And watch all the adults around you reach for that candy bar before you.

I hate waiting. I just want to be there already. Be at a place in my life where I'm so excited to wake up everyday and do something I totally love. I feel an emptyness inside and it's hard to determine if it's just because I wish for a more fulfilling job or because I'm still holding on to childhood dreams.

Is this getting deep or what?! haha. Annnnyways enough of the tomato soup for the teenage soul over here...here are some pictures of me from tonight. Went out with a friend for some dinner and this is what I wore out.

Where To Stay: Chase Field Ballpark, Phoenix, AZ Hotel

So a couple of weekends ago the boyfriend surprised me with tickets to go see the Diamondbacks play at their home field in Phoenix, Arizona. I was so excited because I LOVE baseball, but also because he not only bought tickets to Saturday's game but also to Sunday's game too! (What a sweetheart!)

I didn't want to leave all the spending up to him since he was going to drive his big ass truck to Phoenix as well, so I decided I would get us the hotel room for the night.

If y'all don't know, Phoenix is a humongous city, filled with suburbs and sister cities galore. So deciding on an area of Phoenix of which to book a hotel was quite the task. North Scottsdale or Scottsdale, Central Phoenix or Mesa, Chandler or Tempe....uggghhh the list goes on. I had no clue where the heck to book the dang room.

So I googled Chase Field Ballpark hotels and hardly got any help. Luckily with some clever word changing around, I found the Wyndham Phoenix Downtown.
It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's right in the middle of downtown diagonal from an amazingly good mexican restaurant called Matadors. (Must try, to die for salsa and cocktails!) We were close enough that we could WALK to the ballpark, but far enough away that we didnt hear all the rif-raff and traffic from the game afterwards.
The interior of the hotel is a total 360 from what the outside looks like. It's luxe and modern and fancy to say the least. The room was only $89 a night! (couldn't believe it!) But I actually upgraded to the "Baseball Package" which is $99 a night, but you get FREE valet for our stay which is usually $23 a night and two vouchers for the breakfast buffet in the morning which was SO good and fancy and filling.
To say the least I was very impressed with myself and the hotel. I didn't think this hotel would be as nice as it was and it was the perfect location to the ballpark. It was also quiet at night, the buildings that surround that area are all business buildings and no bars so you don't hear mobs of people walking around and talking loudly at all hours of the night. Niiiice. Sooo if you're looking for a place to stay around the Chase Field Ballpark, the Wyndham Phoenix Downtown is my recommendation.
That's all. xo

All the Hairy Details

So I have too much hair. If you haven't noticed. It's not that my hair is thick, it's just that I have a lot of it. And by a lot I mean TOO MUCH! It's massive after I blow dry it. (I will one day brave the embarrassment and post a pic of me after said blow drying. It's amazing.) It's naturally curly, which I hate, and have never really found a nice way to wear it natural. I feel like a poodle when it's natural.

I've been letting the color grow out in hopes that I can go to the hair dresser and have her cut, color, and style my hair like one of the lovely ladies below. Trying to decide if I want to go back to one dark color completely or just dark with golden highlights or a bronze brown with highlights. Choices!!

I don't know. My dream is to one day be brave enough to go get my hair cut in the longer grown out version of the Victoria Beckham bob. I think that is the cutest haircut on girls and I die when I see a girl with that cut and it looks good! Buuuuuut my boyfriend LOVES long hair.

And even though it's my hair and I can do whatever I want and am in no way controlled by him, I still feel like I want to look good for him and I know he likes the long haired ladies better. (I ask him to keep a scruffy face so I guess we're even?) So here I sit with way too much hair going on and a definite need for a new look.

Darker or highlights? What do you y'all think?

{ All over one dark color like Aria (Lucy Hale) ? }

{ Dark with golden highlights like Audrina? }

{ Dark with caramel and golden highlights like Penelope? }

{ Or all over golden brown/bronze hair like Rachel Bilson? }

I tend to lean towards dark usually because my hair turns brassy and red tinted naturally. But I do love the looks of Rachel's hair. Decisions..decisions! xo

Oh p.s. who's excited for Pretty Little Liars tonight?! This girl is!! YAY for Tuesday. haha
