A Little Princess Love

When is the last time you watched the 1995 version of A Little Princess? Or have you ever? It was on HBO on Sunday and I couldn't resist watching it. I used to LOOVE this movie when I was little so watching it again makes me smile at the past. My favorite part in the movie is when Sara and Becky wake up in the morning and their attic shack room is decked out in pretty fabrics and there's a massive amount of yummy food on the table. What a great way to wake up!

Funky day at work...aaaagain. I sometimes get in these moods in the morning once the full effect of idiot co-workers has hit me. A mood that lasts until I road rage it home. It sucks too because I wake up in the morning (4:45am...uhggg!) and try to be optimistic that "today will be better than the last". But as soon as I start listening to the people around me talk about things, the more withdrawn (and slightly annoyed) I become. Most of my day I sit behind a computer so interaction with my co-workers is far and few between, which is nice in this case. But MAN...by noon I'm a zombie. Having gone so long without stimulating work or conversation turns me into a robot.

I know I should be thankful I have a job at least, I get it, but when you sit around for 10 hours a day and just play on your phone it gets to you after a while. OKAY...That's it. I'm done whining. Thanks for listening! What keeps me going during my b.o.r.i.n.g. day is the knowledge that only a few more hours will bring me back to my home, a glass of wine or tea, my fave shows on DVR, my blog and of course getting to see my super boyfriend walk through the door.

Anyways I promise that tomorrow I won't be such a Debbie Downer! It's just one of those JOBS days.

Back to Reality...

My trip to San Diego this past weekend turned out better than I could have predicted. (this could have something to do with the fact that I called in to work on Tuesday, making it a FIVE day weekend for me!) Yeeeeessss! We took in the action, sound, and dirt of Super Cross, went to the San Diego Zoo on Sunday, and then went to Bob Fest on Monday. Long and busy weekend to say the least.

I booked us a "fancy" hotel this time since we usually stay somewhere cheap. The Solamar Hotel in downtown San Diego was the perfect place to come home to after our long days out and about. Outstanding service and staff plus prime location next to shops and eateries, made my stay just about perfect.

Lucy Hale Love: Aria Style

One of my guilty pleasures is watching Pretty Little Liars on ABC Family. Do you watch it? The trailer for the pilot caught my eye in the beginning so I rushed out and bought book one of the series. All I have to say is that the t.v. show has definitely kept my interest far longer than the book did.

Aria Montgomery, played by Lucy Hale, is my favorite character on the show. Aria has a unique style different from her fellow high school classmates on the series. Her style is one I would emulate if I had a job that allowed me to dress cute! Her style is a fusion between hipster + bohemian + indie, with lots of dark colors and leather jackets. Costume designer for the series, Mandi Line, has done a great job developing Aria's style!

Destination Inspiration: Anguilla, Bachelor Style

Monday nights The Bachelor was AMAZEBALLS! I mean the drama and all that was just ok...but the AMAZING part was the destination of choice; Anguilla! How freaking beautiful!? As soon as I saw that crystal clear water and white sandy beaches I turned to J.T. (boyfriend) and said "Let's go there!"

So hopefully one day, but until then I thought I'd use Miss Kelly Wearstler as inspiration for this destination. Her Anguilla Viceroy Hotel design is just as beautiful as the company it keeps. Enjoy!

Rachel Bilson Love

Rachel Bilson has to be one of my favorite people. From her style to the films she does, I love it all. Has anyone seen the movie she did called Last Kiss? LOVED IT! Anyways she has a new movie coming out called Waiting For Forever and I recently stumbled across some screen captures from the set. Love her characters style in this scene with Tom Sturridge. Simple and breezy, perfect for an afternoon stroll.

Destination Inspiration: Costa Rica, Bachelor Style

After watching last weeks The Bachelor I'm totally lusting after a trip to Costa Rica. The love desperate girls and leading man Brad stayed at The Springs Resort & Spa, a beautiful luxury resort. With gorgeous views, plethora of pools, and romantic waterfalls who wouldn't want this getaway?
