STUPID FLU

So our plans have been exnayed. We didn't go camping this weekend and we're not headed to Scottsdale today for NYE. The flu has attacked JT and he's been laid up in the house since Thursday. Poor thing. I have been playing nurse to him all weekend and I think we've watched like 20 movies so far. The flu sucks balls. But, I guess it could be worse.

I'm thinking tonight we'll have a nice dinner and watch the ball drop on tv...nice and relaxing and in recovery mode. Sounds a lot like my day at work today too...slow and relaxing. Sort of bums me out too, because I went shopping specifically for a NYE dress the other day with excitement brewing about our Scottsdale trip. There wasn't much to choose from at Dillard's, but I did find these 2 dresses. I had a $50 gift card to use so I wasn't too concerned about the $64 price tag of this black floral peplum. Please forgive the awful backdrop of the dressing room...Not sure why but I was so drawn to this dress..at first I passed it up because of the price, but then I kept circling back around and touching it, so I went ahead and tried it on. I just love the peplum trend, although I don't own anything peplum yet (I need to change that asap), it hides all the right places for me..

The second dress I found was more NYE-vy...sparkly and cut-outs. Definitely cute for ringing in the new year. I loved the cutout at the waist and then the entire back was all lace with no lining. So different from what I would normally wear, but it had a built in bra so it made it easier for me to be brave about wearing it.  Very exposed..but classy. When I grabbed this one off the rack I was so excited it was only $54 and in the dressing room I had my mind made up about buying it over the black one...but then I re-read the tag. Ummm it was $84..not $54. So that immeadiatly made up my mind for me. I went ahead and bought the black peplum, picturing it with my new leather jacket and sky high black heels. But now we'll see if I actually get to wear it tonight...Anyways hope y'all have a fabulous NYE and see you in the new year!

Love your style & feel you on the sickness (I feel like I've had it since the beginning of December). That first dress from Dillard's is hotttttt with a capital "H"!

My developer is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP.
I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses.

But he's tryiong none the less. I've been using Movable-type on numerous websites for about a year and am anxious about switching to another platform.
I have heard very good things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can
transfer all my wordpress posts into it? Any kind of help
would be really appreciated!
