IF YOU REALLY KNEW ME

So I was stalking all my usual blogs yesterday and ran across Megan's blog where she was doing a "If you really knew me" post. I ate it up. And then I decided to do my own, because I liked the idea of it that much. So here goes. And if  you want more, head on over to Megan's part of the world and read hers too.

If you really knew me...

You would know I'm a child of 3 divorces. First my mom and dad when I was 4, then my mom and step-dad when I was 18, then my dad and step-mom when I was 22.
I never believed in marriage, or kids for that matter, until I met JT. He changed my mind.

If you really knew me you would know I grew up in a small town in Arizona. A small town that I swore I was never coming back to when I left for college. A small town that I am once again a citizen of thanks to my handsome fiance. Never say never.

If you really knew me you'd know that I have no freaking idea what I want to do with my life career wise. I bounce back and forth between wanting to do nursing, radiology, graphic design, boutique owner, online store starter-upper, magazine article writer, novelist, stay at home mama, corporate marketing lady, and many MANY more.
It kills me more than anything that I just can't make up my mind and stick with one and love it.

If you really knew me you would know that I could never eat meat again and be a happy girl. I could survive off of pasta and bread for the rest of my life and love every minute of it.

If you really knew me you'd know that I'm super self conscious about the way I look thanks to my small petite stature, my even smaller bubbies, and my baby face. I've never really felt like a woman of 25 and I always feel like a little girl.
Might have something to do with the fact that I get carded even at the movies. Really? It's rated R. You don't even think I'm 17?!

If you really knew me you would know that I have a secret dream of being a Disney channel star. I said, I have a secret dream of being a Disney channel star.

If you really knew me you'd know that I used to be a full time dancer starting when I was 4. I'm talking classes every night of the week, all day on Saturday for company, and only having Sunday's off. I did it all, but ballet and modern were my favorite.

If you really knew me you would know I stopped dancing at 14 because my mom wanted me to try out for cheerleading at high school to meet other people outside of my dance studio. Biggest regret of my life quitting dance. If I could go back and change one thing, that would be it. I would continue with dance and pursue a career out of it.

If you really knew me you'd know that I am in love with the idea of blogging and pray every day that I can keep it up this time.

You'd know that I'm obsessed with Marshalls, TJ Maxx, World Market, and Hobby Lobby and would gladly accept only gift cards to said places for all holidays for the rest of my life.

You'd know that I love reality tv, period piece movies, going out to eat at restaurants, and hanging out with my family.

And you'd know that I absolutely love my man and can't wait to start a lil' family with him.

I love this post!!! We have a lot in common. We both don't eat meat, and I also am obsessed w/TJ Maxx and Marshalls. Those are my go-to stores. You shouldn't be self conscious about the way you look... you are STUNNING! And how sweet that you found a man to make you believe in marriage again. So sweet. xoxox.
